Winter Welcome Week

Winter Welcome Week is for all residents!

1:00-4:00pm Welcome Back Hot Cocoa (Residence Hall Lobbies)
- Come grab a cup of hot cocoa and chat with your Hall Director!
6:30-10:00pm – Open Climb (Myers Field House)

10:30am-12:30pm – Decorate Your Own Donut (Preska Lobby)
- Stop by to chat with Dining and decorate your own donut to take and eat!
1:00-2:30pm – Growth Plan(t)– Women’s Center/VARP (CSU 253/4/5)
- Explore the power of a growth mindset in both personal and professional contexts then plan(t) your own! Guest panelists: Alexis Persons, Zeke Sorenson, and Pakou Lee. Each participant gets to plant a succulent to take home!
3:00-5:00pm – DEI Welcome Back (Bullpen)
- Come enjoy bowling, billiards, games, and karaoke!
7:00-9:00pm – FSL Welcome Back Bash (Maverick Bullpen)
- Enjoy a night of bowling and billiards in the Maverick Bullpen. Make new friends or reconnect with old ones. Meet with members of the Fraternity & Sorority Community to find out more about what we do on campus and how you can get involved.
8:00pm – Trivia WOW (Residence Community Lobbies & Stadium Heights Community Room)
- Enjoy some snacks, prizes, and test your trivia with others in your community!

10:30am-1:30pm Snowshoe Demonstration (Wambdi Wapaha Lounge)
- Stop by to learn about outdoor equipment rentals with Maverick Adventures and receive a snowshoe demonstration. All MSU students receive one FREE snowshoe rental each season. Take a stroll outside if the snow allows.
2:00-3:00pm – BYO Mental Health Toolkit! (Women’s Center)
- It can take a variety of strategies to best support our mental health. Put together a kit of fidgets and comfort items and learn some new strategies that can help you start the semester off right!
6:30-10:00pm – Open Climb (Myers Field House)
7:00pm – Shrek Live Movie Bingo (Ostrander Auditorium)
- Join us as we play bingo while watching Shrek – be sure to bring your devices!

11:00am-1:00pm – UDC Coloring (UDC Entryway)
- Stop by the front tables in the UDC for some coloring, winter recipe samples, giveaways, and trivia wheel.
5:30pm – Men's Basketball vs. Moorhead
7:07pm – Men's Hockey vs. Michigan Tech
7:30pm – Women's Basketball vs. Moorhead

10:00am-1:00pm – MLK Jr. Day of Service with Mavs in Action (Preska 126)
- Join us as we make toys for cats and dogs, portion rice, create tie blankets, portion out laundry supplies, and create card and goodie bags.
- Hot cocoa & snacks will be provided!

5:00pm-9:00pm – Outdoor Ice Rink (Performing Arts Center Lawn)
- Join Student Activities to enjoy an evening ice skating on our outdoor rink! Limited skates will be available to use – first come, first served! Craft activities will also be available. Bring your own skates if you have them!
7:00pm-8:00pm – Residence Hall Association (RHA) Grocery Bingo (Ostrander Auditorium)

5:00pm-9:00pm – Outdoor Ice Rink (Performing Arts Center Lawn)
- Join Student Activities to enjoy an evening ice skating on our outdoor rink! Limited skates will be available to use – first come, first served! Craft activities will also be available. Bring your own skates if you have them!

- Come learn about some of the RSOs available on campus! Prizes, snacks, and crafts will be available!
8:00-10:00pm – Meet the Greeks: Winter Edition (CSU 253)
- Meet with members of the Fraternity & Sorority Community and explore whether joining one of our groups may be for you! Refreshments provided.

- Join the Maverick Curling Team and learn the Olympic sport of curling! Whether you are a pro curler or have never curled before, this is a perfect chance to show off your skills or try something new! Bring a clean pair of shoes and warm clothes; $5 covers all equipment, instruction, and snacks.
