Star Alert Information
Star Alert
Star Alert allows campus community members to receive text messages and email notifications in the event of campus-related emergencies. MNSU, Mankato students are automatically enrolled in Star Alert using their @mnsu.edu email address and phone number on record. Faculty and Staff can also enroll/add their phone number to receive emails and text messages if they wish.
In the event of an emergency, a Star Alert message will briefly state the location and nature of the emergency, and may include a specific action to take. Star Alert will also be used to notify you if campus is closed or if classes are delayed or cancelled.
Users can opt out of Star Alert text notifications by replying STOP to the Star Alert text or email (as noted in each Star Alert message).
Current students, faculty, and staff
Current students can edit/add phone numbers for Star Alert notifications. Faculty and staff enrolling in the Star Alert system via the button below will automatically have their @mnsu.edu email address added, and they may add/edit phone numbers to receive text messages as well if they wish.
