About Us

Sustainable Justice Network is a collaborative network driven by the Department of Community Partnerships, under the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Minnesota State University, Mankato. We focus on building meaningful connections between governmental, non-governmental, and nonprofit organizations, institutions, students, and the community to address issues of social justice and sustainability. With special attention to the global changes and social injustices caused by the climate crisis, we recognize our responsibility to promote Intergenerational Care. We believe in the power of collaboration to create lasting change that benefits our environment and future generations.

The purpose of the Sustainable Justice Network is to unite efforts and resources in the community to jointly face the challenges of social justice and sustainability. Through strategic alliances, we seek to promote practices that integrate social equity with environmental sustainability, creating an inclusive space where organizations and leaders can develop projects and acquire skills that drive a positive impact in the region.

The mission of Sustainable Justice Network is to promote sustainable justice through strategic alliances that promote social equity, environmental sustainability, and community development. We seek to strengthen local organizations and the community through projects and activities that foster resilience, respect for the environment, and the well-being of all people.

The vision of Sustainable Justice Network is to be a leading network in the region that inspires and empowers the community to work toward sustainable justice, where ecological practices and social equity are integrated into the development of lasting and meaningful solutions for collective well-being.
