National Alumni Career Mobility Survey (NACM)
During the late fall and early spring of 2022-2023 the Career Development Center, Division of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management, and Office of Graduate Studies partnered with the Career Leadership Collective, a higher education solutions group, to administer the National Alumni Career Mobility Survey (NACM) to alumni who graduated five- and ten-years ago (Classes of 2012 and 2017). Graduates provided information on their educational satisfaction and skill development, career path progress and satisfaction, economic mobility, community involvement and the elements of their educational experience at MSU that contributed to their career development. 917 alumni completed the survey for a 17% response rate. Results highlights included:
- 95% would recommend the University to a friend or colleague.
- 87% are satisfied with their degree educational experience.
- 80% agreed that their degree helped prepare them for their career.
- 83% are satisfied with their career so far.
First Destination Graduate Follow-up Survey
Minnesota State System Board Policy Minnesota State Board Policy 3.31, asks that all Minnesota State colleges and universities, including Minnesota State Mankato, gather information on the status of graduates within one year of graduation. Information is collected via print, online, and telephone surveys and supplemented by staff research. All individual responses are held in confidence. The survey results are summarized to provide current and prospective students with information useful for selecting major programs and determining job markets.
