Members of the Maverick Community opt in to become a Career Champion by attending 1 of the several onboard training courses offered throughout the academic year. After attending the initial training, Career Champions receive their Welcome Kit and are officially added to the roster.
Following the initial onboarding, Career Champions are invited to attend Lunch & Learns hosted by the Career Development Center. Lunch & Learns are offered each semester and attending all of them is encouraged, but not required.
Career Champions do their thing! As you go through your everyday work with students, keep in mind all the great ways you can help your student’s career development –and share your insights and knowledge with them when the opportunity arises.
