Psychology faculty and students attend conference
Associate professor of psychology Dr. Angelica Aguirre and her research team presented at the Minnesota Northland Applied Behavior Analysis conference Sept. 26-27. Dr. Aguirre conducted a workshop titled “Arranging and Troubleshooting Verbal Behavior Programming for Children with Autism and Other Related Disorders: A Basic Tutorial for Direct Support Professionals” on teaching language skills for children with ASD and other related disorders.
Two recent Clinical Psychology MA graduate students, Greta Kos (current PhD School Psychology student at U of M) and Courtney Sowle (current PsyD School Psychology student at Minnesota State Univeristy, Mankato), presented their theses at the poster session. Kos tied for Outstanding Overall Presentation and Sowle won Best Application for her study.

Additionally, four clinical psychology students joined day two of the conference.
