French, Bachelor of Arts

The Bachelor of Arts in French degree serves students who are seeking high proficiency in French language and cultural studies. The program courses focus on real-world communication skills in a student-centered, immersion-based learning environment that encourages the open exchange of ideas, instills awareness of cultural differences, and encourages a deeper understanding of events, institutions, and traditions.

French, Minor

The French Minor prepares students for high proficiency in the French language and cultural studies. 

French Teaching, Bachelor of Science

The Bachelor of Science in French Teaching along with appropriate teaching licensure courses prepares students to teach French in a K-12 setting. Students learn high proficiency in French language and cultural studies, along with real-world communication skills. This student-centered program is an immersion-based learning environment that encourages the open exchange of ideas, instills awareness of cultural differences, and encourages a deeper understanding of events, institutions, and traditions. 

French, Master of Science

This program prepares students of French for teaching in higher education. Students interested in teaching at the Community College level should see their advisor about identifying methods courses to strengthen their teaching ability. Licensure is not required to teach at the Community College level, but courses in teaching skills are recommended.
