Two major players in Minnesota music released albums on this day. 'All Shook Down', the final release from The Replacements, came out in 1990; and 'Copper Blue', the debut album from Sugar, was released in 1992..

Friday, September 6
Just days after the anniversary of Sugar's debut album release the MMC is celebrating the release of 'File Under Easy Listening', their final release, on this day in 1994.

Saturday, September 7
The Replacements frontman Paul Westerberg released 'Folker', his seventh solo album, on this day in 2004.

Rock Bend Folk Festival
The 33rd Rock Bend Folk Festival takes place on September 7 - 8 in St Peter, MN. Festival organizers Ron Arsenault, Steve Guse, and Drew Lyons stopped by the KMSU studios to record and interview about what you can expect at this annual Fall tradition. The MMC will run the interview at noon on Wednesday 9/4, 3:00 p.m. on Thursday 9/5, and at 7:00 p.m. on Friday 9/8.
