KMSU Student Scholarships Available
Scholarship applications must be completed by February 29th, 2020
KMSU Radio is offering scholarships to its student workers for the first time in 2020 thanks to generous donors including the family of KMSU founder, John L. Hodowanic, and recently retired KMSU General Manager, James Gullickson.
John L. Hodowanic Endowment Scholarship is made possible by the generous donation of the John L. Hodowanic family who contributed to a $50,000 endowed scholarship which allows us to help students far into the future. John was the "father of KMSU" and started the station in 1963. This year, two $1,200 scholarships are available to students who are current employees of KMSU; a student at Minnesota State University, Mankato; a sophomore, junior, or senior who will be enrolling as a fulll-time student during the upcoming fall semester; and a student who has show tremendous hard work, innovation, and service to the KMSU radio station.
The Jim "Gully" Gullickson Scholarship is $3,000 for Minnesota State Mankato students who have worked for KMSU at least one full semester; demonstrated financial need; will be enrolled for the entire upcoming academic year; and merit as an overall, well-rounded student. It is named after Jim "Gully" Gullickson who served as KMSU's general manager for 15 years until he retired in 2019.
Applications for scholarships must be completed by Feb. 29, 2020. Students can apply online at: https://mnsu.academicworks.com/.
