why did you choose to study at minnesota state, mankato?

The staff has been supportive to me since day one. Even when I asked them questions that would otherwise be called silly they were patient with me. I also chose the school because it offered the major that I wanted which is nursing and there’s Mayo Clinic close by which has always been my dream place to work after Johns Hopkins. And there are a lot of opportunities to grow as a student and career wise within the school system.

how will this scholarship help you?

It will help me meet new people like the scholarship recipients. It will help me make new connections to help me in my career.

What is your advice for students that want to apply for this scholarship?

Just apply you never know what happens. Be yourself when it comes to writing the essays, your story counts.

Are you a dog or a cat person?

Dog

What was your biggest culture shock?

There’s no paper or trash on the ground, everywhere is just so clean. Cars stop when you’re crossing at a non-designated area.

What is your favorite spot at msu so far?

CSU lounge.
