Transfer Credits
College and Dual Enrollment Credits
Many students earn college-level credit in high school through the Minnesota Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO), Concurrent Enrollment or similar programs. These credits are evaluated individually, and you’ll need to submit official transcripts from the post-secondary institution to Minnesota State University, Mankato for credit evaluation.
Have transcripts sent to:

International Baccalaureate (IB)
We recognize the hard work that goes into earning an IB diploma. You can receive credit for select University courses based on your performance on Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) IB exams. To get started, just submit your IB exam scores for review.
Keep in mind that IB credits from other schools won’t automatically transfer, so we’ll need the original exam scores to determine how much credit we can offer.

Military Transfer Credits
If you're a veteran, you may receive credit for formal military training and passing DSST/DANTES exams. Your military documents, like the DD-214 or transcripts, will be evaluated using American Council of Education (ACE) guidelines. Basic Training even counts toward General Education.
For DSST exams, credits are awarded based on scores and department review, with elective credits given if no equivalent course exists. For more information, visit the Registrar's Office or DSST's website.
