PSEO Requirements at MSU

To be eligible for the Post-Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) at MSU, students must meet specific academic standards based on grade level. These requirements ensure that students are prepared for college-level coursework while still in high school.

Seniors: 

  • Must rank in the top 50% of their high school class 
  • Or maintain a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA 
  • Or achieve a composite ACT score of 21 or above 

Juniors: 

  • Must rank in the top third of their high school class 
  • Or maintain a 3.3 or higher GPA 
  • Or achieve a composite ACT score of 24 or above 

Home-School Students: 

  • Seniors must have a composite ACT score of 21 or higher 
  • Juniors must have a composite ACT score of 24 or higher
