Alumni Fellowship Opportunities
If you are an alumnus or alumna of Minnesota State Mankato, you are welcome and encouraged to utilize the resources of the Fellowship Office to pursue your professional goals. If you are considering graduate school or seeking independent research opportunities or unique work experiences, email fellowships@mnsu.edu to make an appointment. There are a wide range of awards available for alumni, some of which are listed below.

AICPA Accountemps Scholarships:

Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowships:
- Emphasis: Academic
- Open to Pre-Doctoral candidates interested in a career in teaching and research at the college or university level

- Open to college graduates and those studying at the graduate level

Hosei International Fund (HIF) Foreign Scholars Fellowship:

James Madison Memorial Fellowship:

Smithsonian Biodiversity Genomics Postdoctoral Fellowship Program:
- Emphasis: Research, International
- Open to doctoral students and those already holding a doctoral degree looking to conduct collaborative research in fields involving comparative genomic approaches such as phylogenomics, population genomics, metagenomics or transcriptomics, and having a component that involves significant bioinformatics analysis
Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Program:
- Emphasis: Research
- Open to applicants at the graduate, pre-doctoral, or postdoctoral level
Smithsonian Mpala Postdoctoral Fellowship:
- Emphasis: Research, International
- Open to those that hold or will hold a Ph.D. by the start date of the Fellowship interested in conducting research with the Smithsonian and the Mpala Research Centre in Kenya.
Thermo Fischer Scientific Antibody Scholarship Program:
- Emphasis: Academic
- Open to undergraduate and graduate level students pursuing a degree in biology, chemistry, bio-chemistry, or related life science fields
*Thomas R. Pickering Graduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship:
