Constitution Day Observance
Constitution Day is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is traditionally observed on Sept. 17, the day the U.S. Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution in 1787 in Philadelphia.
Minnesota State Mankato will celebrate Constitution Day through Sept. 21 with book displays in Memorial Library highlighting resources that explain the constitution, its history and information about the signers. As part of the celebration, Memorial Library is providing free pocket copies of the U.S. Constitution while supplies last.
