Minnesota State Mankato to Award 2,797 Degrees in May 2022
Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato will award 2,797 degrees to 2,467 students at the end of the spring 2022 semester, and approximately 1,700 students will participate in six graduation ceremonies on campus Friday and Saturday, May 6-7 in Taylor Center’s Bresnan Arena.
(NOTE TO EDITORS: The number of graduates does not equal the number of degrees because some students earn more than one degree.)
Candidates for graduate degrees will graduate with the college of their affiliation.
Advanced degrees to be awarded by Minnesota State Mankato at the conclusion of the spring semester include 10 doctor of education degrees, 19 doctor of nursing practice degrees and five doctor of school psychology degrees.
Graduate degrees to be awarded include 80 master of arts degrees, 19 master of accounting degrees, eight master of arts in teaching degrees, 17 master of business administration degrees, 11 master of fine arts degrees, one master of music degree, 265 master of science degrees, two master of science in nursing degrees, 12 master of social work degrees, 10 professional science master’s degrees, 21 specialist in educational leadership degrees and 34 graduate certificates.
Degrees to be awarded at the undergraduate level include 55 bachelor of arts degrees, 23 bachelor of business administration degrees, two bachelor of applied science degrees, 38 bachelor of fine arts degrees, 1,847 bachelor of science degrees, 46 bachelor of science in civil engineering degrees, 19 bachelor of science in integrated engineering degrees, 14 bachelor of science in computer engineering degrees, 17 bachelor of science in electrical engineering degrees, 34 bachelor of science in mechanical engineering degrees, 48 bachelor of science in social work degrees, 28 associate of arts degrees and 112 undergraduate certificates.
Undergraduate students receiving recognition will include 385 students graduating summa cum laude (3.8 grade point average and higher), 316 students graduating magna cum laude (grade point averages of 3.6 to 3.79) and 317 students graduating cum laude (grade point averages of 3.4 to 3.59).
On Friday, commencement ceremonies will be held at 3 p.m. for the College of Business and at 5:30 p.m. for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
On Saturday, commencement ceremonies will be held at 9 a.m. for the College of Science, Engineering & Technology, at 11:30 a.m. for the College of Education, at 2 p.m. for the College of Allied Health & Nursing and at 4:30 p.m. for the College of Arts and Humanities.
