Minnesota State Mankato to Award 2,757 Degrees at End of 2023 Spring Semester
Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato will award 2,757 degrees to 2,403 students at the end of the spring semester. Approximately 1,750 graduating students are expected to participate in five commencement ceremonies held today and Saturday.
Commencement ceremonies will be held today at 3 p.m. for the College of Business and at 6 p.m. for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Commencement ceremonies will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. for the College of Science, Engineering Technology, at 12 p.m. for the College of Education and at 3 p.m. for the College of Allied Health and Nursing.
All ceremonies will be held in Taylor Center’s Bresnan Arena on the Minnesota State Mankato campus.
(NOTE TO EDITORS: The number of graduates does not equal the number of degrees because some students earn more than one degree.)
Advanced degrees to be awarded by Minnesota State Mankato at the conclusion of the spring semester include four doctor of education degrees, 19 doctor of nursing practice degrees and five doctor of school psychology degrees.
Graduate degrees to be awarded include 78 master of arts degrees, 17 master of accounting degrees, two master of arts in teaching degrees, 12 master of business administration degrees, 12 master of fine arts degrees, five master of music degrees, 290 master of science degrees, 13 master of social work degrees, eight professional science master’s degrees, 20 specialist in educational leadership degrees and 55 graduate certificates.
Degrees to be awarded at the undergraduate level include 55 bachelor of arts degrees, 30 bachelor of business administration degrees, one bachelor of applied science degree, 28 bachelor of fine arts degrees, 1,784 bachelor of science degrees, 35 bachelor of science in civil engineering degrees, 36 bachelor of science in integrated engineering degrees, 12 bachelor of science in computer engineering degrees, six bachelor of science in electrical engineering degrees, 46 bachelor of science in mechanical engineering degrees, 29 bachelor of science in social work degrees, 28 associate of arts degrees and 118 undergraduate certificates.
Undergraduate students receiving recognition include 422 students graduating summa cum laude (3.8 grade point average and higher), 309 students graduating magna cum laude (grade point averages of 3.6 to 3.79) and 300 students graduating cum laude (grade point averages of 3.4 to 3.59).
