Minnesota State Mankato Offering Free Application Month in February
Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato is waiving its $20 application fee for new undergraduate students who apply for admission throughout the month of February.
As part of a campaign to make it easier for students to apply for college, Minnesota State Mankato’s Office of Admissions is also hosting a series of Wednesday night webinars during February that will be recorded and made available online.
Prospective students are invited to complete a free application and have their questions answered at any of the Office of Admissions weekly Wednesday information night events. To register for the webinars, visit mankato.mnsu.edu/virtual-events.

“It is important for students to begin the process early and apply for admission as soon as possible, so they have time to complete the financial aid process and find housing,” said Brian Jones, Minnesota State Mankato’s director of admissions. “Waiving application fees is one way we can reduce barriers to students being successful.”

February is the second free application month Minnesota State Mankato has offered to the upcoming fall class of 2022. Minnesota State Mankato waived over 5,600 undergraduate application fees in October during “College Knowledge Month,” an annual statewide college application initiative.
Minnesota State Mankato offers over 130 undergraduate programs and over 85 graduate programs. The University hosts a vibrant campus community that includes more than 200 academic student groups and other recognized student organizations.
Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 14,546 students, is part of the Minnesota State system, which includes 30 colleges and seven universities.
